Medha Gowda

I am a third-year undergraduate transfer student at UC Davis majoring in Biological Sciences. I became involved in research through the Honors Program at my previous college where I designed and completed independent projects presented at the college’s research symposium. I further expanded my clinical and research exposure through a summer internship in cardiothoracic surgery at NYU. I plan to pursue a career as a surgeon, integrating research with patient care. In addition to medicine, I have a strong interest in psychology and animal behavior, which sparked my excitement for research in the Bales Lab. Outside of academics, I enjoy reading and running!
